Underage Drinking - Social Issues

This is a Photograph that was taken for my AS level coursework. The topic that I was looking at was Underage Drinking and other social issues for teenagers.I wanted to tell a story through my photographs and show some key issues for teenagers. The photograph shows a teenager who has passed out on a bench. I placed a Kopparberg can in front of the male character so that the can in the foreground tells the story of what has happened in the background of how the teenager ended up in that state. I used Photoshop to edit this photograph.

Underage Drinking - Social Issues

This photograph was from my social issues AS level work. The photograph shows a female character with the word help in her hand. I wanted this photograph to show depression within teenagers which I believe I achieved by using the characters body language to tell the story. I positioned my model so that her body shaped was slumped and she was looking down as if she is ashamed and depressed..  I took this photograph on my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited the photo on Photoshop.

Underage Drinking - Social Issues

This photograph is from my AS level coursework which looked at the topic of social issues within teenagers. This photograph shows a pair of hands with a piece of paper in the palms of the hands saying help. The aim of this photograph was to show that for some teenagers how they act and their problems with underage drinking and depression are a cry for help. The photograph was taken with my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited on Photoshop.

Underage Drinking - Social Issues

This photograph was taken for my AS level coursework that was looking at social issues among teenagers. This photograph shows a male character that has passed out on a park bench with a bottle of wine in his hand. I wanted this photograph to show the negative effects of underage binge drinking and how it can be very dangerous and leave you in a state such as this. This photograph was taken with a Cannon 700D DSLR camera and was edited on Photoshop.

Underage Drinking - Social Issues

This is a photograph that was taken for my AS level coursework that looked at social issues for teenagers. This is one of my favorite photographs from the entire project as I really like the interesting angle that I captured in this photograph I took the photograph so that the rum was in the foreground and the background contained the passed out male character. The photograph was taken on my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited on Photoshop

Liverpool Photography

This is a Photograph that I used as one of my final pieces for my AS level exam project. The project was looking at towers and sculptures and I wanted to show how water can be used to create a sculpture. I really like this photograph due to the detail of how the water is projected in the fountain and how the drops of water break up in the air. I took this photograph on my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited the photo on Photoshop.

Liverpool Photography

This is a photograph that I took one day whilst I was out in the center of Liverpool. I was walking past lime street station and I noticed that the sun had just started to sink behind the buildings. I then found myself the best angle to shoot the sun setting. I framed the photograph to have the sun setting behind the Liver building in the background as this is an iconic piece of architecture that is world famous and it is part of my culture as a Liverpudlian. I took this photograph on my Canon 700D DSLR camera and the photograph is unedited.

Liverpool Photography

This is another photograph that I took whilst out in Liverpool. The photograph contains one of Liverpool's most Iconic buildings which is the Radio City Tower. I managed to get a silhouetted effect on this photograph by using a very fast shutter speed which also helped to emphasize the colours created from the sun behind the cloud. I edited out a building that was in the bottom left corner of the photograph so that the photograph just portrayed an image of the Radio City Tower. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited it on Photoshop.

Liverpool Photography

This is another photograph that I spontaneously shot whilst I was out in Liverpool. I had been asked to help photograph a school trip for some younger students and I noticed the strong reflection that was created in the windows of the Liverpool Museum. I angled the photograph so that it included The Three Graces which are the three buildings that make up Liverpool's Iconic waterfront. I like this photograph due to the contrast of colours between the buildings and sky and the contrast of the old and new buildings.

Flour Photography

This is a Photograph that was taken for one of my A2 level projects. The photograph was created by the character blowing flower into the air. This created the smoke like effect in the photograph. I wanted to capture the motion of the flour when it had been blown. I then edited the photograph on Photoshop and increased the magenta colours within the photograph which turned the flour from white to pink so that it looks like a powder paint. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera.

Flour Photography

This is another photograph that was created using flour. I noticed that when you captured the flour at the right angle with the flash of the camera it created a galaxy type effect with the particles of flour looking like stars. I framed this photograph to include the torso upwards of the female character as the focal point of the photograph is her blowing the flour. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited the photo on Photoshop.

Flour Photography

This is another piece of my work that I used flour to create. This time the flour is being thrown into the frame as if it is being thrown at the character and i have achieved the effect of the particles of flour catching the light from the flash which causes a very interesting and beautiful effect. I liked creating this set of work as I could be very creative which helped me achieve some beautiful and interesting shots. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera

Light Drawing

This is a photograph that I used in my A level photography coursework which was looking at light and motion photography. The photo is a light drawing of Mickey Mouse. I created the photograph using the torch from an Iphone. I put my camera on a tripod and set a thirty second timer and then drew the shape of the character in the air. The camera therefore takes in the light trail over the thirty seconds leaving me with this as an outcome. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR and edited it on Photoshop.

Light Drawings

This is another light drawing that I used for my A level exam coursework. The photograph is a snail that has been created with a torch. I like this photograph due to the composition of the photograph. The sky in this photograph is a real strength of the photo as the photograph was taken at sunset which had just sunk behind the woods in the background which created a beautiful silhouette effect and an incredible orange colour in the sky which was emphasized by the long shutter speed. I took the photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera.

Wire Wool Photography

This is a photograph that I used in my A level photography coursework looking at Light and motion. The photograph is a light drawing that was created by the use of wire wool. To create the photograph I had to put wire wool inside of a whisk and attach it to rope. I then lit the wire wool and span it in a circle which causes the wool to spark. I set a twenty second shutter speed on my camera which captures the sparks as streaks of light which creates the image that you can see above. I took this photograph with my Canon 700D DSLR camera.

Wire Wool Photography

This is another piece of my wire wool light photography that was used for my A level photography coursework. The photograph was taken under a bridge so that the sparks created by the wire wool being spun would bounce off the roof and create a very interesting and spectacular looking photograph. I like this photograph due to how the light created by the burning wool which lights up the roof and path giving the photograph a warm glow. The photograph was taken using my Canon 700D DSLR camera and edited on Photoshop.

Wire Wool Light Photography

This is the final example of my work which is another piece of my wire wool photography that I used in my A level Coursework. It is my joint favorite photograph that I have taken along with my reflection photograph of the Three Graces. This photograph was taken in a bombed out abbey in Liverpool. I like this photograph due to how the walls frame the sparks from the wire wool and how some sparks escape over the top of the walls of the abbey.  I enjoy doing the wire wool photography as it allows me to be creative and try new photography techniques which is what I really enjoy with photography. I would like to further develop my photography skills.
